The most viewed TikTok overall
Most lists for "most viewed TikTok" start with the same video. Zach King's "Magic Broomstick", posted on 9 December 2019, shows him in a Hogwarts uniform riding a broom down a street. Guinness World Records lists it as the most viewed video on TikTok, with about 2.2 billion views verified by TikTok on 15 March 2022.
On 7 October 2026, TikTok showed it at 2.4 billion views. TikTok rounds counts this large, so treat the last digits as approximate.
Records are fun to read, but they don't help much with your own videos. If you make content, the useful question is narrower: what is the most viewed video on the profiles you study, and why did it work? That is what the rest of this page covers.

Add to Chrome, freeOption 1: TikTok's Popular tab
On a TikTok profile, above the video grid, you can switch between Latest, Popular and Oldest. Popular puts the creator's biggest videos near the top.
It is a good first look, but it is not a sort by views. TikTok doesn't say how it ranks Popular. When we pulled the first 29 videos from Zach King's Popular list on 7 October 2026, they were not in view order: a 1.1 billion-view video came 22nd and a 968 million-view video came 11th, below videos with under 200 million.
The Popular tab also can't answer two questions that matter for research:
- Is this big for this creator? A video with 2 million views is a flop for some accounts and a breakout for others. Popular only ranks raw numbers.
- What is growing right now? Popular favours old videos that had years to collect views. A video posted last week can't compete with that.
Option 2: Sort the whole profile with SortViral
SortViral is a free Chrome extension. It adds a bar above the grid on TikTok profiles and sorts every video the creator has posted, not just the ones on screen.
- Install SortViral in Chrome on a computer. There is no sign-up and no card.
- Open any TikTok profile while you're signed in to TikTok.
- Click Views in the bar above the grid. The grid re-sorts in place while the rest of the profile loads in the background. The page doesn't scroll.
- Hover a video to see its views, likes, comments, shares and saves, its outlier score, engagement, views per day and the date it was posted.
- Click a video to open it in the player. Use ← and → to move through the sorted list, and read the transcript beside the video.
For a step-by-step version with the other sort options, see how to sort TikTok by views.
Most viewed, outlier and rising: which sort to use
Sorting by views answers "what got the most views". Two other sorts answer better questions for most research.
| Sort | What it measures | Use it to find |
|---|---|---|
| Views | Total views | The creator's biggest videos ever |
| Outlier | Views ÷ the creator's usual | Videos that did far better than normal for this creator |
| Rising | Views per day, videos under 30 days old | What is taking off right now |
Outlier compares each video with the creator's usual views: the median of their 30 most recent videos, leaving out pinned videos and videos under 3 days old. A score of 8× means the video got eight times what this creator usually gets. Each score shows its baseline, for example "8× · median of 30", so you can check it.
This matters most on small and mid-sized accounts. A creator who usually gets 5,000 views and has one video at 400,000 has found something. On a views sort that video sits below other creators' average posts. On an outlier sort it comes first.
Rising is for timing. A video posted 4 days ago with 300,000 views per day will pass older videos soon. Sorting by rising shows it before it reaches the top of the views list.
Beyond profiles
The same bar works on more TikTok pages than profiles:
- Search results, to find the most viewed videos for a keyword.
- Hashtag pages and sound pages, to see which videos using a tag or sound did best.
- Explore.
On the For You feed SortViral doesn't re-sort anything. It adds a badge to each video showing its views against that creator's usual, so you can spot an outlier while you scroll.
What to do with the most viewed videos
A list of big videos is a starting point. To learn from them:
- Read the transcripts. The player shows the transcript next to the video, so you can compare the first lines of the top five videos side by side.
- Check engagement, not just views. A video with high views and few saves or shares was pushed by the algorithm. One with many saves is one people wanted to keep. Our TikTok engagement rate calculator shows how that rate works.
- Save creators to your Watchlist and scan them all at once for the biggest outliers in a date range.
- Export to CSV, or use Copy for AI to paste the top videos, with their numbers, into a chat with an AI assistant.
SortViral only reads what you can already see while signed in. It waits about a second between requests, stops when TikTok shows a limit, and never likes, follows, posts or downloads.
